- A giant skyscraper, built through frugality and cutting corners, catches fire the night of its opening soirée, trapping dozens of people inside. Recommended if you like any disaster movie. Full review here.

- A housewife in Beverly Hills decides to lead her daughter’s Wilderness Girls troop, learning about teamsmanship and real survival through an initial focus on fitting into and surviving their city. Recommended if you like Freaky Friday (2003) and The House Bunny (2008).
- Tropic Thunder (2008) | Action, Comedy, War | ★★★
- A satirical portrayal of actors and what’s expected in the film industry. When a war film blows its budget and threats of it being shut down begin to circulate, the director brings the stars out into the jungle to bond and shoot more realistically on location, unaware of the dangers that await. Recommended if you like Airplane! (1980) and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004).

- Two young boys find a board game that transports them to space once they begin playing, locking them in until somebody wins. Recommended if you like Jumanji (1995) and Spy Kids (2001). Full review here.
